New Legacy Law, LLC. is a solo practice owned and operated by Attorney Amanda Allard. Attorney Allard, who prefers to be called Amanda by her clients, took the path less traveled, so-to-speak, when becoming an attorney. Amanda graduated Cum Laude from Johnson & Wales University in 2009 with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing. At the time, her first born was only two years old. A short year and a half later, Amanda welcomed her second child into the world. As such, Amanda only sought careers in which she could keep her two children by her side. This led Amanda to dive into real estate where she represented both sellers and buyers, owned and managed multi-family homes, purchased (and flipped) a laundromat, as well as flipped residential homes with the construction company she co-owns with her husband.
In the beginning of 2019, with her children getting older, Amanda decided it was time to take on something new. Amanda wanted to do something in which she knew she could make a difference. She took her LSATs, received a great score, got a scholarship and started law school that fall. Three years later, Amanda graduated Magna Cum Laude from Roger Williams University School of Law ranking 21st in her class with a 3.6 GPA.
Amanda continued on to pass the Rhode Island bar exam on her first try. Immediately after passing the bar, Amanda went to work for Liberty Mutual as an Insurance Defense Attorney. However, Amanda was soon reminded of why she started this journey in the first place. She wanted to make more personal connections with her clients and feel as if she was truly helping them. Additionally, Amanda realized just how crucial work-life balance was for herself and her family. Amanda new it was time to branch out on her own and create the career she envisioned.
In an effort to make Amanda’s goals a reality, New Legacy Law was born. This practice, run by a family-centered woman, was built to protect other families. NLL is here to help clients navigate major decisions, to help guide our clients, and to do the difficult work for you. Amanda’s goal is to protect what is important to you, to help preserve your legacy, whatever you may want that to be. Amanda began NLL as her way of helping others and their loved ones.
